The origins of slurry seeding can be traced to Java, Indonesia, in 1934, where it was developed by the Java Sugar Research Station in close collaboration with Mr. H.A. Ditmar Jansse Sr. He became internationally recognized for his expertise and contributions in the field of sugar boiling and its associated equipment.
Since its founding in 1936, the company has been passed down through several generations, from father to son. Today, Ditmar Zonen B.V. is led by Elly Ditmar Jansse, who took over the company following her husband’s passing in January 2013.
